What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, cheques, money orders and major credit cards such as Visa and Mastercard.

Currently we ship to any province or territory in Canada. We do not ship outside of Canada.
Can I have a product shipped to an address that is not mine?
Should a customer pay with cash, cheque or a money order, we will ship to any address the customer wishes. If the customer pays with a credit card, we will only ship to the address that is associated with the clients credit card.
How soon after I pay will you ship out my order?
If we have a customers product(s) in stock already, we will ship them out within 24 hours of payment being processed. Items are normally shipped out the same day the order was received unless the order is received after the shipping services have closed down. If we do not have the item in stock, we will notify the customer immediately and advise them how long they will wait for their product.
What shipping options do you offer?
We ship using Canada Post. This allows the customer to track the delivery status of their purchase, receive it quickly, and in the event their order gets lost or damaged in the mail, it is fully covered by insurance. You will be emailed your tracking number. It will also be posted under My Service Requests with your order information.
I live outside of Ontario, do I have to pay PST?
No, if your shipping address is outside of Ontario, you are not charged PST. GST will still be charged.
Why do I have to have an account to add items to my shopping cart?
By doing this, we were able to program the checkout system so that it is extremely quick and simple for the customer to use. As soon as you click on your shopping cart you are provided with a breakdown of your items in your cart, and you are immediately provided with the extended warranty options, shipping costs, taxes and final total in a clear, easy to read format. This is all displayed at the click of 1 mouse button.
What does your warranty cover?
There are different scenarios.
1. If a part from one of our computer systems malfunctions during the warranty period, we will replace that part at no charge to the customer with one of equal or greater value if we do not have the exact part in stock. The customer may be held responsible for shipping charges.
2. If the part malfunctions due to improper use or being incorrectly installed by a technician who does not work for DLL Modz, it will NOT be covered under warranty.
3. If one of our systems malfunctions due to spyware or viruses, the repairs will NOT be covered under warranty.
DLL Modz offers a warranty on all products sold. The manufacturers of the products also offer a warranty on their respective products. If the DLL Modz warranty has expired, the item may still be covered under warranty by the manufacturer itself. Under these circumstances, the client will be required to contact the manufacturer to have their product replaced. In many cases a warranty from DLL Modz can be purchased which lasts much longer than that from the manufacturer. If this happens, DLL Modz will replace the part with a new one of equal or greater value if we do not have the part in stock.
Why should I purchase a warranty?
Some manufacturers will only warranty their products for 30-90 days. Since the DLL Modz standard warranty also lasts for 30 days, the item will no longer be covered after this time unless an extended warranty is purchased.
A second reason to purchase an extended warranty is if a critical part fails, DLL Modz will replace it quickly and handle the return with the manufacturer for you. Sometimes when a customer deals directly with the manufacturer it may take weeks to receive replacement items.
What are the advantages of having DLL Modz customize a computer instead of purchasing one from Dell, HP, etc?
There are several advantages.
Many of the larger companies use proprietary parts on their computers. As a result, if a part malfunctions, they are the only company that can replace any broken parts. Their repair shops often charge clients high hourly rates to have these systems repaired as they are the only repair shops which have access to the necessary parts. Also, since these companies are the only ones who can supply the needed parts, they can charge larges sums of money for these parts. A system purchased through DLL Modz can be serviced by any any qualified technician, in any city or country.
The parts used by DLL Modz are hand selected so that they are of the highest quality possible. Each system undergoes a heavy 12-24 hour "burn in" process which allows our technicians to ensure that once a client receives their computer, they will not have to worry about parts failing. Many large companies do not have nearly as in depth a testing process. As a result they sometimes find that their clients receive computers that simply will not work properly when removed from the box. Several larger companies are noted for using power supplies that can not handle heavy loads. As a direct result, many internal components can be SERIOUSLY damaged if a proper power supply is not used.
Use the parts that YOU want in a system, not those that a large company wants to dump on you. Unless a computer is the very latest model out by one of the larger companies, they are often dumping older parts on customers. As a result, customers might find it harder to upgrade their systems in the future. For example, if you purchase a system through one of the larger companies that builds computers, they might supply you with an older, end of the line motherboard. These are often cheap boards that will not allow you to use newer processors, faster memory or the latest video cards. Technically they will fulfill the system specs advertised but their systems can not be easily upgraded. By having a computer customized for your needs you are able to select the parts you wish to have. As a result can be assured that you will receive the best system possible. |
